Best Age to See Your Orthodontist
Depending on the needs of your child, the age at which treatment may be undertaken may vary. Orthodontic treatment is generally carried out once all the adult teeth have erupted, however in certain cases early intervention can minimize and/or avoid future orthodontic treatment.
As a rule, around the age of 8 years is a good time for your child to be assessed. If your child is not ready to start treatment, they may be placed on recall for a periodic orthodontic review.
Also, there is no such concept as being ‘too old’ to straighten your teeth. Dr Daniels has treated many adults and seniors who have decided that they deserve the great smile they have always wanted.
